The Moon

I looked up there 
and everywhere, 
I saw such wondrous things. 

The moon, the moon. 
the moon, the moon, 
the moon. the moon,…the moon. 

The sun, the sun, 
the stars, the stars, 
the milk, ..the mil-ky way. 

There’s Mercury 
and Venus too, 
– “Earth” –  
red Mars and Jupiter. 

Then Saturn and 
U-ran-us, 
Neptune and Pluto too. 

And darker ones 
beyond there some 
how many no one knows. 

But someday soon  
we’ll find one mo-ving
round another sun. 

The galaxies, 
the universe; 
there’s so much there to see. 

And inside all 
this miracle 
of light there’s you and me. 

…Yes deep inside  
this miracle
of life .. there’s you ..and me.
